Sex Toy Review: Patchy Paul

by funlove on May 19, 2010

This is a review from one of our Fascinations associates in Arizona. Thank Erika!

I had the joyous opportunity to review and test Patchy Paul III. Patchy Paul III is a marvelously eye pleasing toy made by Fun Factory. This vibrator looks much like a cartoon caterpillar (minus the legs of course) with its perfectly sectioned off body, cute little eyes, and where it curves (to make it able to hit the G-spot). A precious little smile. Just looking at this silicone toy makes you want it to be your new best friend.

This toy usually comes in two different colors (red and green) both being bright and would draw anyone’s attention. The design of Patchy Paul III is very inspiring. Every part of this vibrator has a specific reasoning to it.

First, on the top of the head (which is the most slender part of our friend) sit two beady little eyes. These eyes add character and extra texture to this seemingly simple toy as a way to cause extra sensation. These eyes may look or seem strange but when Patchy Paul is on the job those eyes can work wonders. Next, a little further down is where (at least I see the smile) the curve that makes stimulation of the G-spot possible. The toy is good for those not new to the game of G-spot stimulation. In other words if you don’t know where your G-spot is don’t start off with this toy. Do some independent research and once you are comfortable with the position of your Grafenberg spot feel free to let loose with Patchy Paul.

From there you encounter the body of Patchy Paul. The body is made up of smooth horizontal segments. These segments add more texture that cause glorious sensations. The body also slowly gradually gets thicker the closer it gets to the base of the toy. The body is semi-stiff so it’s a great toy for those who like feeling gull but still want their toy to have some give.

Finally the bottom/ base of this toy is a work of art. The strange lines and color scheme on this toy cleverly disguise the buttons that operate Patchy Paul. There are three buttons to control this toy. This is a plus sign on one button, a minus sign, and a star symbol on the last button placed on the very bottom of the vibrator. The plus sign button turns the toy on and cycles the toy through various speeds and functions. The minus sign button turns the toy down and off. Finally the star button (my favorite button J ) gives you that extra boost when are near orgasm and all you need is a quick change in pace to kick you over the edge. The bottom is the only thing I have a problem with. The buttons are very hard to use. Due to the amount of pressure it takes to appropriate this would not be a good choice for those with arthritic or muscular problems (specifically in the hands). The bottom is also hard to get off if you don’t know exactly how to open it.

Over all this is a wonderful vibrator and I would rate it at a 4.5 only because of the button difficulty but its totally worth the money spent on it.
