This one is easy!
Double majoring, working, starting a sorority and trying to balance a relationship leave me with loads of stress. I have found that my best de-stress tool ever is Bikram yoga (yoga done in about 105 degrees). It gives me a 90 minutes out of my day to move my body and meditate. It has helped me accept my body and find my bliss.
However, I could always use a little more bliss
Being a stay-at-home mom, I’m looking for anyway to de-stress. The best way I have found is a nice hot bath, a glass of wine, and a good book. My husband also helps by arranging “play dates” for our kids so there is some peace and quiet in the house.
I bliss out by going for a bike ride when the weather is nice. Or by putting on my headphones, closing my eyes, and letting something beautiful wash over me. Or by getting into bed at the end of the day with a glass of red wine and a book of poetry…and later, some self-love. Which would, of course, be made even more blissful if I won this contest.
I’m a nursing student, which creates a ton of stress. I work full-time, have 2 little boys, and a ton of bills! STRESS!!!!!!
The best way for me to bliss out is a long, hot shower with tunes playing. I sing loud and proud, and let the hot water sooth my stress. I always feel calmer after this routine!
I stay up way too late , just so I can have a few hours without the kids…watch a movie , read , enter giveaways and of course play with my toys
It does backfire at times when I am too tired the next day !
painting, doing something creative, or, if the merciless arizona sun allows, going outside to walk or hike on an a cool, overcast day
Life can get very stressful ….. I try to always remember to be in the moment … and enjoy all life has to offer ….. I spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying all Mother Nature has to offer …… fun with a friend but The Ophoria Bliss No 7 would be a great destresser to take along giggling ….Kisses, Colleen
Watch a movie, take my dogs out for a nice long walk, take a shower…and than play some Call of Duty 2 Modern warfar….great stress reliever!
A nice long hike, a hot shower, and a good book. Preferably in that order with some chocolate.
My favorite way to bliss out is to take super hot shower then lay on my bed with candles lit and listen to my favorite music while I air dry. It’s heaven!
I love dipping my fingers into some cold, wet, squishy paint and dragging them across a canvas. It’s one of the most relaxing things in the world, and if you haven’t finger painted since you were little, try it again. It can bring back great memories and feelings.
To de-stress, I go for a long drive in sight of the water. Getting away from people and back to nature is always a winner for me.
Full time student working towards my doctorate degree, and working part time. Coming from a poor family I have to bliss out in creative ways. I like video games it’s a great mental escape, or laying around my girls pool. I do the best I can and I’d love to win the Bliss for HER so we can bliss out together
I usually go almost every Sunday with my boyfriend to School of Massage Therapy. We unwind together and then spend the rest of the day usually cuddle together. Other than that, I unwind with a hot bath, a good book, and rest.
I de-stress by getting a massage with my boyfriend and just cuddling together. Sometimes we go out and just explore the city around us to see what is new.
De-stressing is probably like my 2nd fav thing to do next to well… you know. To destress I seriously enjoy scrapbooking- you name it i’ll scrapbook it! I make at least one a year- sometimes more. I get super creative with them and just have tons of fun. The other de-stressor in my life is STAPLES!… yes i am an office supply slut! I will do pretty much anything for a nice swingline. I…I believe you have my stapler!
To unlock that inner bliss and to distress, I allow my wander where ever it so choices and I thank about how far I have came and everything that I have to be thankful for, and the next thing I know I have a smile a mile long, and the encouragement and energy to move on.
What really makes me be in bliss now a days is to go to the movies on my own. Being that I am unemploy right now I don’t is as much as I would like to but when I do I make a nice day out of it. I will start by going to the pharmacy and getting myself vitamin water and a few snacks.
I go to the theater with out really planning on what I am going to see I just show up and see what tickles my fancy. And if I am early I just sit in the theater reading what ever book I brought a long.
I love letting myself escape from life worries, stress and troubles just sitting there and getting caught up in the movie.
And if I get to get myself butter pop corn or nachos w/ cheese I am back in heaven.
When I can’t go I use to take walks around my neighborhood, I need to get new head phones. I also in the past would enjoy going to the mall and doing window shopping and sometimes trying on clothes and shoes. .
I have two ways to de-stress and bliss out: baths or painting. I will draw a hot bath with bubbles, herbs or an oily bath bomb, grab a pitcher of water and my ipod and just soak away the anxiety. Other times, I paint. I have a nice tarped off area in my dining room/kitchen with canvasses and the feel of the paint in my hands as I smear in on the canvass pulls the stress right out. The colors I choose will usually be representative of what is causing my stress and the painting will be the release of it, as the color leaves my hand so does the problems that were overwhelming me that day.
Hmmm, not to hard to answer.
3 kids and a wife oh yeah and im deployed currently, to makes things even more stress full my youngest is only 3 months! the way i bliss out from stress is to take a relaxing walk or to call my family back home to see how life is treating them while im away, if there is internet anyways, or just watch a movie when there is no internet access!
Congrats to the winner; Hush Plushie. What great ways to relax, from all the entries!
Whenever I get stressed out I ask my husband to take the paddle or velvet flogger to me. No kidding! For some reason letting him gently “warm me up” de-stresses me SO well! It doesn’t even have to involve sex, just baring my behind and letting him go to town makes me feel better!
Kinda disappointed that I never got an email =(
Thanks for picking me though haha
