AVN Awards Round Up

I was lucky enough to get to go to the AVN Awards Show at the Palms while I was in Vegas this past weekend, and I was also in a position to be lucky enough to tweet live from the red carpet. I thought I’d give you a little eye candy today, complete with photos from Always Aroused Girl (who works for JanesGuide.com), and give y’all a little taste of what was going on this weekend in the porn industry.

Here’s Jack Lawrence, one of the only (if not THE only) guys to be nominated for best oral scene. Ladies, any fantasies about him?

I was psyched to get to kick it with Carol Queen of Bend Over Boyfriend, and the AVN nominated company Good Releasing (we carry titles in our stores!). Loving the 1880′s show girl inspired outfit. Definitely unique!

Then one of my favorite fellow sex educators, Jamye Waxman, arrived, and shared a cuddly moment with Laurie Vargas. We’re hoping to get the lovely Jamye in to present some workshops in our Let’s Talk Sex series.

Here is my Oh-EM-GEEEEE moment of the night, when I got to chat with Nina Hartley (we sell lots of her movies, including her educational line, in our stores) about sex education. How exciting is that?

Of course, we got to see the soon-to-be AVN Winner Kimberly Kane (for her work in The Sex Files):

And also Dana DeArmond, who actually stopped in the Twitter Pit to tweet with us:

The most outrageous moment of the night was when April Flores, Jiz Lee, Dylan Ryan and Courtney Trouble hit the Twitter Pit. Jiz MAY have indicated she was packing with one of our favorite Vixen dildos, the Outlaw, so I MAY have just had to feel her up a little. And then of course everyone wanted her to whip it out, and this is what resulted. Queer Porn Mafia, I salute you (albeit it not from my pants):

Margaret Cho presented one of the awards this year, and on her arm was the sexy porn star/director/feminist/gallery owner Madison Young…complete with pearl collar and leash!

Finally, everything died down, and AAG and I got to go into the awards. Here is a picture she took of the inside of the theatre:
