My wife and I recently heard about the craze of porn stars bleaching their anuses. It sounds cool! What are your thoughts on it and where can you find a do it yourself kit? We thought we’d ask about you it, how it works, if we had any kits, where can they find one, things of that nature. Any ideas?

Great question. Anal bleaching should NOT be done. It can be incredibly dangerous for delicate anal tissue.
Some porn stars do it because they are having nationally published photos/videos with closeups of their anuses. You CAN buy anal bleaching kits online, but just like you CAN buy douches in the store, it doesn’t mean you SHOULD do it. Fascinations does not carry these kits, either online or in any of our brick and mortar stores.
Most people who do anal bleaching go to a dermatologist’s office to have it done. Others choose to use skin lightening cream that is designed to lighten sun and age spots, freckles, etc. These creams are NOT designed for anal tissue, and often contain Hydroquinone, which has been shown to be carcinogenic (cancer causing) and is banned in many countries. Please don’t attempt to use this on your (or your partner’s anus).
Anuses come in a variety of different shades, colors, etc. It’s all normal, whether it’s pink, brown, or somewhere in between. As long as you’re washing it prior to sexual activity (and maybe even using a warm water enema if you’re that concerned about look, smell and so on), you should be fine.
